let me drive it. j/k

good times Carson. thats about the only thing you really can work on is launching the car and get used to running it at the track. it just takes a little time. your times will improve the more you drive/run the car.

nice trap speed. your car is makin a lot of power, trappin at 107. w/a good launch and perfect shifts, you will definatly drop that time down

I told you at Tony's that your top end was awesome, 23 mph in the second 1/8 is really good. Looks like a 13.1 is just a couple of runs away.

If you could get traction you would be low, low 13. I pull 5.9 330's NA so image what you could pull

Lookin at that timeslip, it looks like you are making good power and you're launch isn't bad. You could improve it a little bit but it's by no means terrible. I'd say work on making quick, crisp shifts. If I were to guess I'd say you're shifting a little slowly.

thanks for the imput guys. It was my frist time wearing a helmet as well, so that in its self was odd, not being able to hear anything. I made two other passes and they were the suck. The first one I spun hard off the line, then missed the 1-2 shift, I ended up with a 14.6x @104. The second pass was not good either, I burned the tires off the line, then shifted to second while spinning droping my rpm to ~3K starting out in second, I ended up going 14.3x @ 105. Both my first two runs I cut ~2.4x 60'. The the run I posted I launched from idle, and actually went into second under boost...much better feeling. Of course the one day I finally make it to the track it is warm...so I am hoping with a little cooler temps, my trap speeds will go up a little more, and if I can work on my lunch I would like to go under 13.00. All of this I would like to do and keep the US manifold...I am getting my manifold back soon from being polished...so I will be bolting on the PF TB soon.

Did you do a burnout to get those DRs hot?

yeah....the last time I missed the H2O box then did the burn out...If I had a chance to make more passes and figure out what RPM I could launch from I am sure I could have gotten better times, but the launching at 4K and 3K both caused major burn out. The first two runs I went thru the H2O box then did a burn out...I did not do the best burn outs though....even with the E-brake pulled I was still pulling the car foward. On my first two launches I had never launched on DR's before so I was hoping that they would hook just by letting the clutch out rather than riding it out a little....that did not happen. I think I can go with a higher launch but I just need to ride the clutch....remember I am new to racing at the track so I had the butterflies at the line.

Good times cardana..... Remember i recommended a regular street launch and not to drop the clutch.... Those things didn't hook for me N/a much less a SCed max.

I agree if you are talking to me....I was getting better though...just did not have enough time to make enough passes to test out different things off the line

you learned on that last pass after i told you do drive around the burn out box then do the burnout. if these tires didn't hook for Don while n/a then i'm going to assume operator error.

I was able to pull a 2.08 60' on saturday on G-force DR's with no warm up and NA. I still get spin so I assume by heating them up I could pull a 2 flat.

I just need to get my launch down....the tires were hooking hard going into second and third....with my normal street tires I would loose traction hard going into second then slip a little in third...I am happy with the tires so far I just need to get some practice on launching.

if you ^^ know of a spot open next weekend then let me know...I want to get back now. I have some stuff to do this weekend, but the following weekend we may be able to find somewhere.

-also for you guys that are running DRs how long are you burning out? I really did not do a long burn out at all, because I was draging myself thru the box when I would drop the clutch with the ebrake yanked.

which DR's are the best? So DR's with good drivin get you around 2.0 60' times. So in the end they make about a .4 difference in the quarter mile, correct?

let me show you how to do a burn out in those things. I'll start looking around for some semi-local tracks and see whats going on.

I'd say more like .2, my slicks give me about exactly .4

Well, it all depends on what 60' foot you can get on street tires.
