Close...but no cigar - 14.04@101.07 mph

Just got back from the track. Decent conditions, mid 40's. Ran a new best on the first pass, so I knew it could be a good night. The new clutch is working great, except its hard to slip it on the launch because it grabs so hard. The track ended up being pretty slippery. No weight reduction other than spare tire, and jack. My best pass of the night was:

60...2.205
330...6.028
1/8...9.131
mph...78.51
1/4...14.049
mph...101.07

My best mph was 101.27 mph.

I had one lauch that felt great, but I ended up missing 3rd gear pretty badly. I got the slip and it was a 2.16 60 ft time, 15.2 @ 96mph. I was pissed. My car seems like it is hard to get into gear when it gets hot. Anyways, I will hit 13's before any other mods or weight reduction. Thats my goal.

Very nice!!!!! Ohhhh so close, I wouldn't have been able to handle being so close to 13's. To run a 14.0 with a 2.2 60' is great. You must be picking up some mad top end. my 1/8 mile time on sunday was the same as yours but you ended up .2 faster. Maybe it is my clutch.

You'll hit it.

Just wait until the weather is perfect.

Track conditions went downhill after about 9pm tonight.

I was thinking about going back to the track and taking my seats and stuff out to make sure I hit a 13, but I don't know if thats even worth it. I would rather hit a 13 with full interior. thoughts?

Its all up too you, I don't mind it bc it takes 10 mins or so to gut the car so its no big deal. Im not one to jump someones case if they run a fast time gutted IMO you go to the track to run as fast as possible so why not?

Yeah, when I go to the track, I'm goin for the fastest time I can achieve. If that means gutting the car, why not? It's all about the numbers anyways... Take the seats out, if all goes well, that will drop you into the 13's if everything else stays the same.
