what are some cars that would give the max a good race in the 1/4? i know the 3 series bmws are always close races and ceasar has had some good ones with srt4s; but is there any other car that you could buy right now for fairly cheap that could compete with the vq?

 

I am going to assume that this is a question about going to the track and racing.

It depends on how fast the maxima is...

I usually have good runs agains slightly moded Mustang GT's, LT1 camaro's, WRX's, GTP's. Every once in a while I will go against a quick bolt on honda, like a swaped hatch or GSR teg that will be a good race.

 

i assume you're looking for a stock vs. stock car comparison yes? For the 3.5 max's; GTP, Mustang GT's (not the brand new ones tho - they win), Camaro's (non-ss), Acura CL-S, regular WRX's, 350Z's, i dunno there's plenty out there.

 

how about the acura rsx ? a 4th gen would need a y pipe, toss out the spare

 

nah I've destroyed many from a 2nd gear roll all the way to 110mph. I have a ypipe but you don't need the ypipe to beat an rsx-s trust me. They are pretty damn slow.

it all depends on the mods of each car and the driver. a VW minibus can run w/ a maxima if its hooked up. a ferrari can run a 15sec quarter mile if the guy cant drive. this is to broad of a question to answer
