Wow, I know how that feels, except I'm exactly a second slower. It's maddening going home when you only needed .004 faster. Awesome times.

hmmm that looks familiar. The temps for this run where:

Englishtown NJ
55 degrees
51% Humidity
29.52 Baro Pressure

How do I know bc I was the one driving but these runs where repeated about 8 times the same night so it was no fluke. On this particular run I left traction control on lol. I believe the car weighed in at 3226 on the scales at the time of the run. With a 30.0 Baro pressure that is 13's easy not to mention it was on heavy as Evo 5's. Erik get your *** to the track friday and bust off consistant 13's .

What is up with the 80mph 1/8 and only a 97mph 1/4...that is not typical for you 3.5's is it?

Yea Im not so sure either about his car. Our 1/8th mile MPH where alsmost identicle but my car consistantly gained at least 18 mph on crappy days and normal 20mph on good weather conditions. The only thing I can think of is crappy gearing a boat anchor wheels hurting it top end. I know for a fact with a decent baro pressure it will run quit a bit quicker.

GL man hopefully the conditions will be a little better weather wise also. I know you should have no problem knocking off a 13 now with your latest free mod .

Don't think that's the cause. My findings show once the wheels are moving (drag, dyno, etc) it takes very little force to increase them a bit. If anything the inertia helps at the top end. It's from a dead stop that huge heavy rims/tires hurt the most. I'm guessing maybe gearing?

But why would my gearing be any different than anyone else's with a 2K2 auto who seem to gain more in the last 1/8 than me?

i think he meant that your gearing would be different in that your wheels are a different size than your stock wheels. My guess is the overall circumfrence of the 18's + tires is about the same as your stock 17's + tires, so the effective gearing is about the same.

As for gaining more in the top end, I'm pretty surprised you are only gettin 18 in the last 1/8... i was gaining like 19 mph in the last 1/8 last time i went and i dont have the headers.... somethin a lil odd there, maybe the engine was sensing knock and changed the timing? dunno

But I gotta say - 13's are right around the corner man - congrats on the times!!

Yeah, my 18's are almost the same size as my 17's so I dont think its gearing...I honestly have no idea what it is...
