98 Maxima vs Civic Hatchback

Planning on going to the track with a couple friends. Was wondering what to expect racing a 92ish civic hatchback with exaust, and a 92 eclipse gsx. I'll be driving a 98 SE.

you'll only get to see the civic in your rear view, the GSX... that will either give you a run for your money or totaly destroy you. They can dip into the 12s with a few mods.

I figured the gsx would beat me as well. But with a crappy driver I figure I have a chance. Multiple sites rate the maxima as 15.5 stock and the gsx at 15.3.

Well at bandimere you are probably going to be very very lucky to get into the 15s at all, but that said a GSX and 4th gen are pretty evenly matched stock. However the fact that you are at altitude may give more of an advantage to the GSX which is turbocharged, who knows.

yeah if your stock i think youll run mid to low 16's. At this altitude you will lose to a gsx just because it is turbocharged, and they seem to only lose about .5 a second where you will lose around 1-1.5. When i had my auto max i ran at pmi and got a 16.510 and trapped almost 86mph with a 2.5 60', which believe it or not was right with a 5spd with an exhaust and a decent driver.
