98 GLE vs. 04 Lancer Ralliart vs. 01 Eclipse GT

All three cars automatic, INCLUDING THE RALLIART!
All 3 cars are loaded and heavy.
All three are stock except the eclipse has an intake.
All three are not so good drivers, but i can launch mine pretty well.
Eclipse and Ralliart have pretty heavy 17inch rims, while i have the light sawblades.

The kid in the eclipse is one of my best friends, but the kid in the Ralliart is one of my enemies, so i really need to beat him.

How would you people rate these cars in the 1/4th? I dont look at magazine times because they are pro drivers, and some are complete **** drivers.

And please dont say "take it to the track and find out" because i will take it to the track to find out, but i just want to know ahead of time what the result is likely to be.

Im guessing it'll be mostly a race between me and the eclipse, but i need to know for sure.

You should beat both of them. They seem to be about on par, or maybe a little faster than an automatic 4th gen stock, but that is in manual form, autos will be slower.

Too bad they aren't against an option-less 95-96 GXE 5-speed, they'd be in for a real surprise. But even your GLE boat should take 'em, not by much though.

You should be able to take out the Lancer out no problem, but the Eclipse GT is a different story. It's going to close against the Eclipse GT IMO.

Eclipse GT: V6 200hp
Lancer Ralliart: 4cyl 162hp
Maxima: V6 190hp

The eclipse is heavier, 3150 pounds I believe. The problem is that your GLE is the heaviest 4th gen, about 3100 pounds, whereas some 4th gens weight only 2900. I still think you can win if your car is in good condition.

ok, this is what you do to ensure a win.

take out your backseat (all that hold them are 2 clips)
take out your spare tire, jack, tools, anything that might be in your trunk.
hack your aibox for increased airflow and GROWL.
If possible, get new spark plugs (NGK V-power coppers)
make sure you have a good KS. ( I had trouble with a honda civic with a bad KS)
let out your tires to about 25psi in the front tires.
brake-torque to 1500, floor it on the last yellow.

*Make sure you have your radio and climate control OFF.

Happy racing.

Ok, i'll do all that except the back seat, since im gonna go to the track once just to get the lancer *** in his place. He somehow is sure that his car is faster and has more power, which proves that he knows nothing. His car does look pretty good, but maxima is better

My friend in the eclipse knows maximas are fast, but he's saying "i'd rape that *** in the ralliart, i bet EVEN ur maxima can take it"....eclipse has an injen intake. I'd like to put him in his place, but would i need mods for that? I MAY get a cheap y pipe soon and do the ghetto air box.

Get a Y-pipe + JWT ECU + MEVI or 00VI and call it good.

Why don't you just buy one from a junkyard, ~$200 and no I don't have one.

also, you should

- all the ***** on off postion AND the **** slid all the way to the right. this will put cooler air to your engine. i can't explain but it's the part in the center console where you adjust if you want cold air or hot air, and anywhere in between, blowing at you.

in a few months ? man that is plenty of time to get a warpspeed y pipe for like 160 dollars. to bad im a maxima fanatic, i say you take both these guys with their big huge rims and high dolla stereos ! lol

also since its in a month, borrow a camcorder and have someone follow you around the night of the race documentary style ! rofl ! recording all and interviewing you as the night progresses.

i think i know this Lancer Ralliart, there was some guy around where i used to live that always reved and tried to race me, they have oz racing wheels right ?

hey you just cut that light, i think that is what will decide the race with the eclipse, but hey if this is the new eclipse arent those pretty slow ? it always depends on driver and mods but hey i have seen some really slow new eclipse but i also have no idea if they were GT ?

good luck and show them what the old VQ can do !

you'll kill the lancer, i also think you'll beat the eclipse, just because the weight difference. if both were stock, even then you would barely beat the eclipse.
