track rims

track rims

when i go should i cahnge out all four or just front 2? my rims arent really that heavy i just have better tires on my stock rims and i dont feel like wasting the tread on my tires

Removing weight in the rear is like removing static weight - 10 pound is just that, 10 pounds. Get lighter rims/stickier tires up front, but changing the rear just for the track ain't worth it.

unless you have super heavy wheels or are awd, theres not really any reason to invest in more than 2 track wheels and tires (or just tires)... the main point of getting slicks or whatever isnt for the weight reduction, but for the traction off the line.

if you already have the tires/wheels sitting there, i would easily take a few more minutes and swap the rears too. if you are talking about going out and buying, then hey buy 2

Probably won't see any difference between changing the front 2 vs all 4, but it can't hurt. Personally I wouldn't bother though.

I know the Altima 3.5 OEM rims are lead @ ~28lbs.
