Winter Tires?
Stupid question. I always see people throwing on winter tires at the track when they're not using Drag Radials or Slicks, and I've been told that it's because the compound is stickier than all-seasons when it's hot. Is this true?
Last time I pulled a 2.033 60 foot on the All-season Yokohamas (215/60/15) and I'm wondering if it'd be possible to do a 1.9xx. I prefer street tires for bracket racing since a) they don't break axles and b) my reaction times are better.
Is it worth getting 2 of 'em for the front? I want something that I ran run all the time on, not have to change tires at the track.

Negative - at least that's not the reasoning that I've heard. I've heard they do it when the track is cold because they don't get hard when they get cold like all seasons and performance tires do. Only time I ever ran on winter tires I pulled like a 2.45 60' and ran 14.4... @ 72mph.
