Mixing racing gas

Ok I dont know if anyone has tried this before but if someone has please let me know if it works. I've been using 87 octane all this week and I'm going to the track tomorrow and was thinking about using a little bit of racing gas to increase my octane level to at least 96. Will this work and has anyone ever tryed it. Also is using racing going to messup anything in my car?

Dont' waste your money on race gas. You don't need it and won't benefit from it.

if your n/a then you want your gas to burn fast not slow, so race gas is not needed.

Just put in premium it is all you will require if you are NA. If you are turbod or supercharged you might benefit from higher octane.

first off, you should always use premium gas for your max/i30. Second, it won't give you power, just make your engine run efficiently. you will feel the difference.

always run 91 or better

race gas wont give u any better performance if your n/a, but it wil work good as a fuel system cleaner.

Well since you been running 87 octane for a week, you might want to add a gallon or two of 100 octane to increse the mixture of your 87 to a higher octane rating, it also depends on how much of 87 you have left in the tank. But like others said you need to run 93 or 91 not 87. Adding 93 or 91 to a tank with 87 won't give you the full effectiveness of 93 or 91 octane. Its going to take a few tanks to have the full effectiveness of 93 or 91. Your lucky that your knock sensor didn't go bad.
