Who's got the quickest stock 3.5 maxima?

Usually I'm on top of the stats and can rattle most of the records off the top of my head, but it has come to my attention that I might be behind the times when it comes to stock 5.5 or 6th gen cars. What is the quickest stock time for one?

I did a 14.1 stock in an '02 6MT. it was my brother's car at the time but I bought it off him last week.
I know there were a few other 14.1 stocks.. EdCamden comes to mind. I think he was the first to hit it,, dunno if anybodys gotten below that for stock.

Yeah I remembered your 14.1, what was it 14.18 or something? Also what was your trap? I heard that there might have been someone who made it into the 13s stock but I haven't seen any proof of that.

I know the ballpark times. I was looking for the actual quickest time that has been documented.

Actually there was an altima that went 13.9x fully stock. It was a 3.5 5 speed. The driver didn't let go off the gas when he shifted. It's somewhere on altimas.net

I can't provide a link because I'm not a member.

Then your post is uslesss. And the original thread starter was referring to a Maxima, not the FWD 3.5L in general.

OT: Can anyone tell with any authority (not what they read or heard from someone else) what the difference in driving dynamics between the 3.0 and 3.5 VQs is/are?

13.9s Stock? S-hit City. That's an eye opener.

WHat exactly do you mean?

The 3.5L isn't as smooth.
The 3.5L has quite a bit of torque.
3.5L sounds better (IMO)
That's been my experience.

Well, my brother-in-law has driven my SMX and my wife's SE (both 4th gens) and drove a rented ti or si 6th gen for about six weeks late last year while his car was being fixed. He said (and why I'm asking) that the steering was better on the 4th gens and the ride more firm but that the 6th gen 3.5 engine mostly masked a basically spongy ride and poor turn-in from a chassis that's too ungainly.

You asked about engines not suspension/steering.

I can't compare because my A32 has Eibachs so I cant compare stock for stock.

what?? that would mean that the 6spd is better because you can actually shift into a 6th gear.

Na just joking cause 6th and rev are together I sometimes shove it in 4th. At that time just a 5th speed is better for me.
