Here are a few of my better runs.
BEST RUN (ET)
R/T-------.321
60-------2.176
330------5.982
1/8------9.121
MPH-----77.24
1000----11.816
1/4-----14.086
MPH----99.55

MODS are listed in my sig except I peiced together a custom "Ram Air" intake through the drivers side headlight. I forgot zip ties so it kept falling down so I never got the ram air effect, just cold air from where the headlight should be.
Not bad for a 3.0 with USIM no ECU and no tuning on street tires

Hummm .. I trailered to KCIR this Sunday, waited in line for three hours. ran on a cold track after 200+ cars on free NHRA-inspection day with a 50+50 shot and lots of tire drama and pulled:
R/T .177 sec
60' 2.117 sec
1/4 14.012 sec
MPH 99.07

I ate a 70's Nova w/big block, headers, and 10" Hoosiers while trying the Edge TC (which is great on launch). I'm having a hard time believing this one, Bluemax95.

Check my mods.

Wait - so are you saying you don't believe he ran what he says he did?

Well blue max is, and the guy with the two stage nitrous ran the same times.

If he for some reason he does not believe it I have a time slip where I lined up against bluemax95 that night and he ran a 14.1x....he ran the time that he posted after I left.

what are you having a hard time believing? You car is an Automatic so no need to compare the two.

Sorry you don't believe me. Here is a link to 3 timeslips from that night. Highlighted is my number (15x) and the time. The middle slip is me and cardana (3). edit: (Do not pay attention to his time....it was his worst run of the night)

(I would have just posted the pic but I wanted to leave it big so it was easy to read)

Yup. I concur - that must be one fast nearly-stock 5-spd. Lots faster than the 6-spd 350Zs I saw at KCIR....

are you here to call BS or ride Dave B's *******? His car is just quick, cardana was also there with more modded car, lighter, stickier tires and was running a little bit slower.

youre forgeting that the z's were probly stock or with crappy drivers if they were slower. i can completely believe his times, they make sense to me. everybody knows that power isnt everything and thats why some people on here dont believe him, its just cause THEY couldnt run that time.

? I'll go with the stickier tire thing. We both had the same weight reduction done. We pretty much had the same mods. I/Y/E and ported intake manifold and T/B. I have a Fidanza flywheel I forget if he has one of those. He had an lightweight underdrive pulley, I don't. His LIM and intake runners are gasket matched, mine are not. He has headers...I don't. Anyway I'm not arguing, I would just not say I am more modded. We did have very similar mods. His car was fast...bottom line. My car was running nicely too, but I was being out trapped by 2 mph (as for best run)

Geese you beat my buddies camaro with exhaust going by times but thats his beater. Im hoping i get into 13s with my car and im supercharged. I think the killer for me is going to be 18s, not as good driving, and traction on street tires. Congrats on the runs!

Carson I definitely wasn't trying to put your car down in any way it was running some nice times also. It was more used for comparison sake not to make your car seem slow for what it is. He11 you are running quicker and faster than 90% of the NA 4th gens on this site so that speaks for itself. I know from experience the UDP does nothing at the track and if he had true headers and not those stone racing headers that would count but I can guarantee those did not help the performance of his car over a y pipe alone. The rest I cant argue bc I have no experience with port/gasket matching IM's. Anyway give me a shout the next time you might be coming down and I'll try to meet you guys out and get some video, I left it at the house last time out.

Yep, let me quess, the 350Zs were running in the 14.2-14.4@97-98mph range. I've seen lots of 350Zs run at KCIR over the past two years (ran lots of them too), and 14.1-14.4@96-99mph is the norm for stock or lightly modded versions. I've seen one (auto at theat) break into the 13.9s with a handful of bolt-ons and the SC 350Zs are seeing 13.2-13.5@104-109mph.

As for the Rock, a few weeks ago I was watching Nopi television (I was bored on a Sunday morning ) and they were showing a repeat show of a Nopi event at The Rock. They were interviewing all the big dawg racers including the guy with the twin turbo drag Lexus GS. They ALL were running significantly faster than their usual ET/MPH and many records were set that day. The guy with the GS flat out said it was the quickest track he's ever been to and his car had never run so good. That just emphazies my belief that the Rock is a naturally quick track in the good air of the Spring and Fall months. Some tracks are just quicker than others.

Rockingham holds no records, Norwalk OH, Phoenix AZ, and MIR hold all the NDRA Nopi records. Once again you prove to have no ground to walk on besides something you heard on TV or read on a forum. Don't believe me check the records for yourself, Humphries was the only one at the time to run a record pass which was destroyed by almost 3 tenths a couple months later and he even beat his previous record passes at another track. I know you still think Rockingham is so much faster than everywhere in the world but once again sanctioned records prove you wrong. Have a nice day.

Oh really?

Here's the information I was referencing. http://www.rockinghamdragway.com/news/062805/nopi/

The race was back in June 2005. According to the Nopi database you posted, it says his current record is 7.44; however, according to The Rocks database he ran a 7.16@189 in June. They didn't race the Finals because of rain. Your link of "world records" also fails to list the class that Humphreys races in which is Pro Outlaw.

They don't count a run as a world record unless they back the run up with another one within like 1% iirc.

what class do you think Pro RWD is? He runs in Brent Rau's class, I can tell you don't really know what class is what. Like I said Rockingham holds no records in the NDRA class which once again proves Rockingham isn't the god of all tracks you try and make it out to be. Ask Aaron92se he will tell you how everyone talks about Rockingham around this area. Fayetteville and Kinston are better and quicker tracks than Rockingham.

I don't follow drag racing real closely so I admit I really don't know the rules, but I do remember what I hear and I clearly heard the following statements during the show:

Humpherys: "This is the quickest track I've ever raced at. Track prep is amazing and I easily beat my record."

Nopi: "Records were being broken this day."

Scranton (Supra): "I crushed my prior record and set a new record. This is a great track, even with the rainy conditions."

Honestly no locals ever praise that track, if anything it gets condemend by us for poor prep during test & tune.

We have three other tracks which are all better than Rockingham. Also note that Rockingham is a IHRA track,(downgraded about 10 years ago) not the NHRA track it used to be. Fortunately I got to see John Force do a 1/4 mile burnout in the right lane and Kenny Bernstein do a wheel stand, right before NHRA left them.

Around 730 or 8 I was out "playing around"....near the SC line on Johnston rd. That was the first run.
