Track Question...

I recently got a ticket and was wondering if at the track you can show your ticket instead of a driver's license. Mine was taken away as bond. Specifically I will be going to GLD. Thanks.

the last time i went to the track my boy left his license at home, but he knows the number and everything else on it. they didnt let him run, they actually needed to see it. so i doubt ur ticket will pass as a license, cuz its not a valid drivers license. oh, off topic, but if your age in ur avatar is correct you might need parental permission? just a heads up

Depends on the track. I have never been asked for a drivers license and I make at least 20-25 track visits each year. Of course I'm an old bastard so they never ask me anything.

with Jim, when I went to the track, I paid and raced...but then again that track was lax...I didn't even have to wear pants, and tech inspection was done by...whoever's name you put down on the tech card.

I've been going to the track since I was 20 (and I looked like 17) and I've never had to show my driver's license. I've been to 12 different tracks if my count is correct and not one have they asked to see a driver's license... even when I was in my riced out boy racer civic back in the day.

I think there's change in the wind - for the first time, starting this year, I've been asked for a driver's license and proof of insurance at three different tracks in the Midwest.

Depending on your class, the NHRA Rulebook has things to say about racing requirements, and I guess some tracks read the book this year... I wonder if NHRA is pushing their tracks for more enforcement of their rules????

Yeah, I'm a FOG of 62 years, but now they're asking for the stuff in the rulebook...

Thanks, I tried calling them but there was only a message saying they're closed on Sunday. They said they'll be open on Tuesday, so I'm definitely going. If I can't race then I'll just watch a little bit. Should be fun anyway

Also, what time does the track open?
