Couple of track videos from 2 weeks ago...

...the week I ran 13.41@103.48. Unfortunately I don't have the recent 13.13 on tape.. didn't have a camera person that day. Hopefully if/when I crack 12's someone will be there to capture it.

Anyways, I just thought I'd throw these up there in case anyone's intersted. I apologize for the quality, it's not great. They were taken on a digital camera, not a camcorder and the settings were not right either; as you'll see everything's too bright. The guy had just bought the camera and didn't know how to work it yet. If you're viewing the videos in Media Player I've found what helps is to adjust the brightness by -12 to -14 or so and crank the saturation to the right to 90 or so.

Special thanks to Ceasar for hosting!

Ok so the first video is just an overhead shot showing me and a buddy in his LT4 coming off the line. He spun forever on that one, my 60' was probably only around 2.0 also. Not great launches but just an interesting perspective.

Video 1: Launch top view

Second video is the 13.41 run.. against a Mazda. I was pretty slow off the light again due to trying to get the 2-step to work (it was just test & tune) but I easily caught him. Again, most of the tire squeal is him not me. My car's pretty quiet with the full exhaust on there so you gotta listen carefully to hear it. That'll change soon though hopefully.. haha.

Video 2: 13.41@13.48

Third video is just me and my buddy's Firebird again. This one was a good run for me (at that point it would have beat the 13.41 and been a 13.3x) except I missed the 2-3 shift and ran a 14.3@87.00 - lol).

Video 3: Blew the 2-3 shift

Thanks for viewing!

Damn dude, very nice setup. That car flys! Once again, you give tons of hope to the 4th Gens.

haha yeah I had to laugh at that trap speed for that ET.. just silly.

I might be going out to the track again tomorrow... possibly with the cutout on... but the traction might not be as good since it's not a big event day. Weather is supposed to be sunny and around 70 and maybe 50% humidity.. so we'll see what happens.

nice videos!! Is that someone back yard ? There is no one there....the tracks I go to usually have bleachers that are some what full and the staging lane lines are really long. I wish I could find a place like that.

also, how much does your car weigh?

Well that track is kind of the least popular of the 3 around my area and needs some updating; it's a really old track. However, I have seen it packed on occasion for bigger events. That day was just Test & Tune only. It's a place I go when I want to get lots of runs in and am playing around with the set up or want to practice different launch techniques etc.

Don't know what my car weighs yet, I've been meaning to get on the scale but just been busy with other things, the EU etc.
