95 SE 5-speed (Y-pipe, Catback)

So now that my bro owns my car he wanted to run it at the track to know if the knock sensor was okay and to make sure the ECU wasn't in safe mode and loosing power.

I went to the track once back in 2004 when the car was stock and my best was 15.003@91.78 mph - he wanted to prove that he could solidly kick my @ss (aint that nice ), his logic being that since I ran 15.0, he could do much better.

Here is his best run of the night:

R/T: .173
60': 2.279
1/8: 9.648
1/4: 14.946
MPH: 95.88

He ran two 15.05's and two 15.2's. All in the 93-95 mph range. Does that sound about right for his mods?

He has a budget y-pipe and a full Cattman catback. Stock airbox, wheels, etc. I assume the trap speed is normal for a Y/E car?

95.88 is very strong for a Y/E 5 speed.
Your best trap with the 3.5 was 105 right?

Looks good to me. My best trap with I/Y was like 96.7 and that was in november. Teach your brother how to launch and shift like you and he's lookin at 14.4s

My best trap speed with the 3.5 was exactly 105.88 mph in very cool weather last October. I spun pretty bad all night and managed a 13.77@105.8. Normally it would trap 103-104. So the headers+3.5 seem accountable for roughly 10 mph on the trap speed. The headers really don't do much over the y-pipe so I'd say the 3.5 alone was good for a solid 9 MPH increase in the trap speed.

Lol Just racing on weekends instead of ****ty Friday/Tuesday "Street" nights he could probably lower that to 14.7's just because of VHT.

Yeah I'd love to update but he hasn't gone back since. The transmission's been acting funny lately.
