Finally 13's, RMT Turbo Auto!!!
Yay, I finally hit 13's been looking for it since I started spraying long ago! I finally got it. Here is how the night went down:
Race weight 3150, 22" MT slicks at 15psi
Best ET and 60'
RT .297
60' 2.278
1/8 9.131 at 82mph
1/4 13.833 at 105.8mph!!!!
Best Trap Speed
RT .132
60' 2.671
1/8 9.506 at 83mph
1/4 14.157 at 106mph!!!
Another good run

1/4 13.9 at 105.27mph
It was my first time using the slicks, at first i wasnt heating them up enough and was getting mid 14's. then i just lit them up, and brake torqued the hell out of the car, car took off kinda nice, and finally got into 13's. Something very interesting, on my run that i ran best trap speed, notice how bad the 60' was and yet i still ran a 14.1, If i would have done at least a 2.3 in that run I think that would have been a mid/low 13sec run.
So conclusion, I need to fix my 60' !!!!!, 2.2 is my best EVER with any setup. But i think its not my launching technique, its just my lack of power down below, or i just dont know (would like some advice plz). I would GREATLY benefit from a high stall TC, maybe a 2800, so i can launch with at least 3 or 4 psi, im launching with nothing. 0.5psi maybe.
I also logged, intake air temp, timing, water temp, inj duty cycle.
The only thing i am really not happy about is my very high intake air. at idle while staging was at 134F, then did my run, went down the track started going up to the end of the track and was at 172F!!! is this too high? wat temps do you boosted guys see at the end of a run while in full boost.
Grey99: i would like to know, when do you lock your TC, i think it may have affected my times how i was locking mine. most of the time I locked it at around 3.5K, sometimes i locked it 4k when i was in full boost. I think i noticed the car pull lil more when locking it lower rpms.

What are the specs on your turbo? Mostly concerned with what compressor wheel it is - that is what would affect IATs.

By the way dude, how were you able to get 2.1 60', what tires, wheels, did u brake tq, if u dont mind i would like couple pointers, cuz if i can get a 2.1 i will be mostlikely in the mid 13's or at least a 13.6.

Now my Z is a little more complicated. I've gotten a 2.009 on my stock tires with it. But since its rwd I dont know if my tecnique would apply to the max.
damn dude. it took me slicks to be able to get the damn 2.2. Ever since i started going to the track I have hit 2.3 no matter what i do. Launch from idle i get 2.3, brake tq the hell out of it and i get 2.3, just dont know maybe its just lack of that quick response or something. i was so happy with the 2.2 60'' lol. i want a 2.0 one day. It looks like im going to have to hook my nitrous back on and spray at least a 35shot from the line, then shut it off at 3k when im getting good amount of boost.

Smaller a/r housing on the turbine maybe .58 (i have .69ar now), maybe this will lower the rpms in which boost comes in and i can get some boost off the line.
Spray out the hole about 35-50shot then let off the nitrous when boost comes in

hmm, where'd you get that info from? Because the wheel trim (62 trim) doesn't make any sense and doesn't exist to my knowledge - never heard of it and never seen any mention of it nor can I find any garrett compressor map for that wheel on any compressor map listing. Did you buy it used and that's what the seller said it was? There's a 62-1 T04B but the 62-1 flows like 62lb/min. The only T04B that I know of that flows around 35lb/min is the S3 that flows about 37lb/min.
What I'm getting at is that if I knew the compressor I could look at a map and get a good idea of where you're at efficiency wise. Where you are at on the map determines how much heat you impart to the air as you compress it. Being in a higher efficiency part of the map means that you heat the air less as you compress it and of course less heat is better.
BTW, where is your IAT sensor mounted in relation to your turbo and in relation to the throttle body?

Thanx guys, Nealoc, ya dude i bought it used so to be honest i dnot really know the tru specs of the turbo only the housing ar's since it says it outside, also says M24 if that means anything to u.
Goliekeg, nitrous is almost in already lol, already got RPM switch on its way in the mail, and now i gotta find a main line.. Im going to be spraying from the launch to about 3500rpm, thats wat the rpm switch is for so i dont have to worry about pressing buttons. Im thinking of 50-75shot.

Ceasars, thanx. Well as far as good races, my first few races low 14's i raced a PT cruiser that was turbo and automatic, older guy, reminded me of grey n jime, was cool. He had a better launch and was ahead then i ran him down and almost passed him (i belive i did 14.1 here). He wanted to run again and so we did, I think thats when i did one of my best run on the night, he again got a better launch, then by the end of the track i was already ahead of him, he comes back congratulating me and telling me i have a damn sleeper. That was the only cool race. No one else really said anything since no one knew it was turbo lol, after coming back from a run, i would see poeple talk and point at the car, so that was cool too. I am just really hoping for low 13's. and one day a high 12, to make people really talk =)
His 1/8th and 60' was better than mine so it looked like he was going to beat me everytime we raced, but my car really starts moving hard after the 1/8. his time when i ran 13.9:

Sunoco 104 or VP Racing Street Blaze 103 - either will protect my 3.0 under plug-melting temps and pressures caused by 150-shot of nitrous. I betcha it will let you run all-out at the quarter mile.
But you'll need great tires.... Daymn, I'd like to see that.

You might not ever think you need car insurance, but you need it for various reasons.
Race fuel prevents preignition/detonation, common problems with boost and spray. You can raise boost or raise shot-levels and be safer.
"Use it and don't lose it" is my motto. Experience is a wonderful teacher.
If those IATs are accurate (who knows, if it's the stock IAT sensor) and he's going to be spraying now too and is not pulling any timing I'd DEFINATELY be putting race gas in that thing.
