First time at the track...very dissapointed
I finally looked at the timeslip database and seriously like 70% of the 5.5 gen Maxima's are getting a 93-95mph trap speed...even the ones that are running like 14.3's and what not...and yes a lot of them are MT. I actually only saw maybe 10-13 people on there with a 97-98...although I did see a few
100's.
I know G-Tech is not completely accurate but I have been practicing my launch and I keep getting consistant 14.4's @ 99mph...maybe some of my practice has paid off, next time I go to the track I guess we'll see...also Nealoc187 what you said about shifting makes a lot of sense especially considering that I have to go from 3-4 right before the finish line b/c my 3rd only goes to like 83mph or so...maybe I should really be practicing my 3-4 shift more then anything...
100's.

that could definitely be causing the trap speed to look lower than it would otherwise be. i've experienced that in my turbo car around the 1/8th mile. Sometimes my shift to 4th happens right around there and on some runs it shows that I trapped 92 in the/18th and others it shows that I trapped 95 in the 1/8th, but my 1/4 mile time and speeds would be virtually identical, it's just from being off the gas for that fraction of a second as I go through the 1/8 mile lights.
Alright I got an update...I have some good news and some bad
I went last Friday on a Midnight Madness...I only got 2 runs and only one of them were decent...the 1st time I ran...
RT--------.897
60'--------2.291
330-------6.333
1/8-------9.671@74.00
1000------12.517
1/4-------14.917@94.12
Alright I finally pulled a 2.2 60' but...I missed 3rd gear
and messed up the whole run but...if I got a 9.6 1/8 and a 14.9 1/4 with missing 3rd then on a good run shouldn't I get a mid 14 or so, the good news is now I know there is nothing wrong with my car...also what do you guys think my 1/8 would be...

i had nearly identical runs (worse 60 foot but nearly same 1/8) and missed third, still trapped 99.5 so that still seems low. i think you oughta trap 97, but missing the gear, i would add 1.5 mph, so that puts you around 96. getting better. i think its just practice you need. and youre getting some
