Good job. It looks like the 1/8 mile is what made the difference on your best run, seems like you got out of the whole much better with less spinning.

Nice times! Get that 60' down a little more and you are set. But still I would be content with a low 2.2 60' like you had..

Yeah I'm shooting for 2.0 sec/60ft or below...on street tires, just got the ES motor mounts and subframe/crossmember bushings. I usually run with 25-26 psi in the fronts, turn the Illuminas up to 5 (F/R), and launch @ about 1500 rpm, still working on the power braking method as wells as shifting the automatic manually...

Your mph seems low for some reason.

In my 6th gen I ran a 9.2 @ 79 in the 1/8. Intake and no vias.

Why? Why not just leave when he gets ready to leave? Your R/T has nothing to do with your ET..just make sure you are ready to launch and then go..

Not for a loaded atx car..You are comparing a 6 spd to an atx..I ran 9.0 @ 80 in the 1/8th..doesn't really make for much of a fair comparison though, now does it...?

Oh..well, I mean tire pressure changes between a 16 and a 17 inch wheel are not that big, as compared to a say 15 and 19..

Because cutting a good light is part of drag racing? Personally, when I used to go to the dragstrip, winning without breaking out was my primary goal once I got my ET dialed in. I don't really get going out to the dragstrip just to see what your car runs, I really like running brackets.

Because from what I am gathering he just wants to see how fast his car is, not how good he is at guessing. Bracket racing is fine, but its your opinion that you like it, it doesn't mean taking your car to the track just to run is stupid. Cutting a good light is only part of drag racing if you really care about beating the guy next to you, or you are bracket racing. You say once you got your ET dialed in..well, he has to know what his car runs first! I run my car to see what it can do and what I can do in it, not what I can do compared to the guy in the other lane. I know here in STL the track only does weekly bracket racing for HS, not for street car. Also, unless he is going all the time, why not just go to see what the car can do..?

Can't cut a good light if you don't practice, even when getting dialed in. That's all I'm saying. Part of the fun is not only getting a good ET and trap speed but also cutting a good light.

well, i like bracket racing but like someone said, i wasnt trying to challenge someone else i wanted to see what my car can do... we have a end of year even down here (import vs Domestics) where if i want to enter then it would be bracket racing... i now have my catback, but is still awaiting suspension but i may just take it for a run with the catback and see what it do.... i should be getting headers today...

Maybe that is part of the fun for you..but not for everyone. For me..I could careless. I am trying to make a 13s pass in my stock car, so all I am concerned about is taking my time to make sure I get a good launch, 60' and ET. Once I make the pass I have no intention of going back with it, so working on cutting a good light is meaningless...

You must be one hell of a driver running times like that.... and 100% stock! Let me guess octane booster or an exhaust cut out valve? Not tuned either wow! Some guys are just born to faster runners or good *** drivers! Weight reduction is the only thing you could be altering! Is your car's interior, seats, spare, removed during your track ventures or can you load you car up with your 3 or 4 friends after driving up and down the track and go hang out looking at jumping nipples all nite?

yea, to not only beat a rated best time but to shatter it is special, but i guess weather and altitude and all plays a factor

No, No, and no. The car had/has full interior all of the time, spare/jack included. No octane booster, that stuff I don't touch, no exhaust cut-out. I drove two other people to the track with me that night. Its stock down to the original plugs and transmission fluid (until the other day when I changed them). The car put down high power numbers on a low reading dyno, so the car is definitely part of the equation..thanks, btw.

I plan on shattering my current time next track day..still stock, but better tires (still not DRs/slicks). The DA for the day/time I ran was almost 2200, so there is improvement to be made. The conversion for that DA was 13.65@ 102.4..fwiw.

sorry, don't want to ***** your thread. When are you heading back to the track next?

GF wanted to see a damn 7:20 movie (the hangover, which is now the funniest movie in life ) track opens at 5pm so i didnt go... i guess my next runs will be at Maxus, and that will also be the first time i run at that specific track so we'll see and hope for the best

Yeah..it will likely be another week before I make it out, because I am getting the Probe on the rollers and tuning it Tuesday, so depending on how long that takes, I won't have time to get home and get the Maxima and get to the track..

It can be fun or heartbreaking...just depends on how it goes. I am a test car for a new Cam grind from Colt cams, so I am anxious to see how the car runs on the new cams once it is tuned..should be a decent run for the Maxima...maybe...lol

It was fun to baseline the Maxima seeing as it made very nice stock numbers considering the dyno I go to reads ~5% low, where as the Probe is usually disappointing, lol
