grey99max - New PB 11.564 @ 109.63 w/75-shot
Sounds nice for sure. I usually have an AC generator for my laptop to tune with the UTEC, so I suppose I could use it dual purpose for a bigger bottle heater to conserve car batteries.
Of course, a few hundred dollars spent on a nano system can keep the pressure up without worries of heat. You just have another bottle to fill along with the nitrous. But the nano system only works on 1 bottle at a time, and buying a setup for each bottle would be quite costly, so not really an option for you.

I have a dual-bottle CNC bottle rack in the trunk, but I did not see why I would want to "Nano", so I hooked up two and heated them with the Morosos, instead of battery-draining pads and tubs of hot water, or (horrors) a propane torch. Works for me, anyway, and it turns out I can get twice as many full-power runs at 175-shot without changing bottles, still with no significant pressure drop.
Bottles are now reliable for me.

Yeah, there is definitely something going on. I was excited to see another 11 second maxima and when I read the title and saw an 11.5 @ 109 mph, I thought for sure I would see a freak 1.5-1.6 60 ft time and a killer 1/8th mile time. That 1/8th to 1/4 mile time does not add up. I went a 7.65 on a faster 60 ft, and went an 11.69 in the 1/4 mile, so you are out-gaining me on the back half, but I trap 11 mph more. That just doesn't work. I think it was a timing light error or similar. That 330 ft time is 2 tenths faster that mardigrasmax when he ran a 1.71 60 ft time and an 11.5 @ 122 mph.
What's going on here? those slips make absolutely no sense unless I missed some key point in my reading of your post.
Your 60' was mediocre, your traps mediocre at best at both the 1/8 and 1/4 (for the ET), yet you ran an 11.56? For that 11.56 to be possible with that trap speed you'd need to have an incredible 60' (which you did not). Conversely, for that 11.56 to be possible with that 60' you'd need to have a HUGE top end charge or charge through the middle of the track, which obviously did not happen given the traps at both the 1/8 and 1/4 mile.
Next run you have a pretty good 60', far far far better than the previous one, a way higher trap speed at the 1/8, the same trap speed at the 1/4,, yet you're almost a full second slower... Something is not right. The numbers do not add up.

The other two had me going in and out of spray when I hit the rev limiter and backed out until the tranny shifted - I think I had the shift point set too high for both shots together. I set it back to 6100 on the third run with a 100-shot plus 100-shot, tire spin in first gear then power loss in second when I lost a valve.
Give up comparing one clean run to two messed-up runs. Geeze..
I didn't compare any of your runs to each other. I am only talking about the one 11 second run not being legit. I compared it to one of my runs and to one from mardigrasmax. The times don't add up. Read again what I posted.

For the last time, there is no point in comparing my first run with any of the other two runs. The first run was the only one where I held WOT all the way through the traps. The new valve body worked fine with the 75-shot -absolutely no lost time during shifts.

You are getting defensive as if we are accusing you of cheating, but it's just being pointed out that the timing could have been off on that slip.
Again just consider your 1000' time of 10.135, and 1/4 mile of 11.564. You did the last 320 feet in 1.429 seconds. That means you were traveling an average of around 224 feet per second, which equates to roughly 152.6mph, which is impossible for your 109 trap. The only explaination for that is messed up timing, or you hit 160 mph then got on the brakes before the traps.

id be the first to say id love to run even your other two times, lol. but as far as the first time slip, consider that you gained ground on the car in the other lane, from 1000 ft to 1/4 mile, and even in the second 1/8 mile completely, when he was obviously going way faster than you were. good times regardless tho, glad your new mods worked for ya.
im betting on 10s next season easy...

Trust me, you'll never find about it here.
I dont wanna stir things up more, but I do want to mention that in the past I have had faulty time slips, for example running low 7's when my car was a mid 8sec 1/8th car, low 7s in those days were IMPOSSIBLE, i just trashed those slips.

yeah , dude, dont take thing to the heart. there are mistakes made by the clock, plenty. experienced people will find those outliers and know they are mistakes. just do it again, and again, and it will speak for itself.
always nice to see 1/4 mile time slips on the org. keep them coming

Dang, I didn't know you cared! This is my last post until the spring, when I install the new engine and built transmission and get some mileage on it. I continue to answer PMs, but I don't have anything to add until I'm rolling with the Cosworth. Heck, my car just appeared from under the snowdrift yesterday - it's been covered since Dec 20th.
Here's my videos from the last track visit, in case you haven't seen this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
" Back to my part-time hobby's forum for the videos of my last three passes. A friend volunteered to go along that day (Nov. 21) and made a tape of about an hour of racing, including my three runs. He was new to this, but got good video.
Run number 1 - single-stage 75-shot all the way. At the 1-2 shift, I hit the rev limiter, so after this pass, I set it down 100 RPM -seemed to work after that.
http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...First_Pass.flv
Run number 2 - l left on a 75-shot again, and hit the second stage during part of 2nd and 3rd gears. The supercharged/nitrous Mustang left very early - but hey, it's a Test-n-Tune.....
http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...Third_Pass.flv
Run number 3 - I left on a 100-shot (lots of tire spin) and again sprayed the second stage of 100-shot during parts of 2nd and 3rd gear. That ate the engine in third gear, leaving a 5-cyl motor to get me back on the trailer.
If you look closely at the start of the video, toward the rear, you can see the "water boy" throwing a bucket of water across the left water trap - he did this before EVERY RUN - the staging area was really wet.
http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...9_3rd_Pass.flv
Overall I was very pleased with how the transmission was shifting under power. This is much improved over the stock VB - Level 10 did good... I'm shopping for a competent transmission builder for the spring installation. "
See ya in the spring.
