Trackdays in Estonia

Was yesterday in trackdays in Estonia, Tartu, Raadi ex military-Airport .
I did several races , but one of them was against Ford Mustang GT.
here is the link of timeslip:
http://www.dragtimes.com/1998-Nissan...pecs-8670.html
The launch was prety good , I did the start in 4500 revs
and I manged to beat the Mustang in 0.006 s.
Considering the fact that Mustang has 100hp. more than mine. I have only 98'
Maxima. with 5 speed tranny, Exedy Stage1 clutch
and custom exhaust, y-pipe and B-pipe + Simons muffler.Of course I had Mickey Thompson drag-click + Rota 15' wheels with weight of 11lbs.I managed to shave from my previous best 14.917 to 14.830.
the speed was 95.606.
That is not much but still.
The car should be faster. It is possible that the track was slippery, just concrete block. No glue.

hy again

What is your best ET?
My car became slower after the gearbox bearings and driveshaft bearings were replaced? Do they need drive in period?
Any suggestions !

your gearbox rebuild has nothing to do with your 1/4 mile time. your 1/4 mile time is slow because your launch was not good. 2.28 60' time is slow for street tires, let alone slicks or drag radials. that car could run low 14s with a decent launch. the trap speed isn't bad for the mods you have done.

Thanks for advice but 2.28s was achieved by slick tires MT ET Street 225/50/15. I also used before in same track Hankook RS-2, I think they are kind semi-slick tires, but they were 0.2 s slower. But with MT slick I got in one race even trap speed 96.875 but RT was 0.5 and 60' 2.3 .Of course I must admit that the track was also slippery. In top end it seems it has lack of power.
Also I noticed that car has became slower after bearings replacement in 5 speed tranny, do they need some drive in period also?Cause it is now 1 sec.
slower in 1/4 mile.

i am aware that they were MT ET Streets. I was saying that 60' time of 2.28s was not good even for street tires, and terrible for MT ET Streets. Hankook RS2s are not semi slicks, they are regular street tires.

96.875mph is a good mph for the mods you have done. I know you are saying that the car feels slow on the top end, but I don't believe that to be the case. that is a very good MPH for your modifications.

Also, for the third time now, NO, your transmission does not need a break in period and it is NOT the cause of your car being slower in the 1/4 mile than it was before. It is impossible. Your transmission bearings did NOT cause your car to slow down.

also with regard to your email, stiffer springs might help a tiny bit, but they will not solve your problem. 2.28 seconds from MT ET Streets is bad, no matter what springs you have on there.

Thanks!
I understand that 2.28 is terrrible for slick tires and I agree with you but actually I do not understand what is the problem? Seems like car has lack of power, any way
car feels much slower than before. I have got 1/4 mile with street tires in good surface 14.3 trapspeed 95,6-96 mph. this year in spring. Of course the weather was cooler also, now it is hot really. 89,6 degree of F.
Last year I have got in 1/4 mile trapspeed even 100mph but because 60'
was only 2,55(street tires) the time was 15,4. terrible, but it means car has power still.
Would the Cattman or OBX headers help the launch and improve my 60' or 1/4 mile?Is OBX headers better than Cattman or not?
Also I will say that the track was slippery, that is also the reason why my 60'
was terrible. Would the tire pressure improve my 60'. What is the perfect
pressure for tires to get 60' improved?
