My run at the track 8/28/11

Well guys took my car for the first time to the track, and may I also add that it was my first time in over 10 years at a track(which explains my reaction time). My mods are K&N and NWP bop.

And here's a vid of me running against an Integra.

I'm assuming you weren't launching just like me.

Was that time with or without manual shifting?

I was manual shifting and I brought my rpms up to like 1200 let brake go once I felt like it wasn't gonna spin I just floored it. Im pretty sure i can do better, I was nervous after not being at the track in so long lol.

Nice yeah, I see you were running in the day at its just to damn hot. LOL Get at least a 60' in the 2.2xx and you should drop a few tenths.
I don't count kn as a mod, unless you do GAB, so really you just have BOP.

Yeah when i ran a 9.9 1/8th mile I didn't launch or manual shift but then again I have a couple more mods.

I am going back once i get 3 inch exhaust and maybe y pipe. 7speed is the y pipe worth getting paired with a 3 inch exhaust?

Oh and when the temps get in the 70s that will be nice instead of this 100 degree bullcrap

Reaction doesn't matter unless you're bracket racing. You can take as long as you like getting off the line and run the same time.. Focus on the launch more and forget about the light. Also did you lower the tire pressure? Should help a little with your 60'

Yeah I know reaction time doesn't count but just putting it out there before someone makes fun of me for sleeping at the tree lol. 7speed forgot about the GAB which I do have forgot to mention it sorry. Does lowering tire pressure really make that much of a difference I heard that in some instances it hurts traction.

A lot of people lower tire pressure but I never do I'm always running 30-32.

I'm sure 3"exhaust will help since a few people are on that bandwagon and there is some great posts about it.

I don't know anything about ypipe

a y-pipe will for sure help, and of course changing your exhaust will help also. you don't really need 3" exhaust, if you don't have headers or actual mods. if you just have intake and what not, don't worry about 3 inches. Your 2 1/2" is fine. Cattman has y-pipes and so does warpspeed.

So you don't think already having the nwp spacers, nwp bop, and sri would be enough for 3 inch exhaust along with the y pipe? Basically would have all the mods besides headers and a tune.

I can only get a crush bent exhaust local and figured 2.5 inch crush would hurt more then help so 3 inch would at least be larger then 2.5 once crushed...idk?

Didn't someone get a y pipe from warpspeed that was 3 inch instead of 2.5?

I wouldn't call it a bandwagon. I know what the motor needs, and a 2 1/2" exhaust won't cut it. lol

The 3" exhaust won't hurt. Don't be so quick to say the motor doesn't need a 3" exhaust. I'm making pretty good power judging by my trap speeds.

i'm not saying it doesn't need it completely. but i don't believe that it's an essential part for gains. headers and y-pipe will help him for sure.
