My 2011 PB 13.14@108 NA +video
Oct 1, 2011
Temperature 10-12 Celcius
Windy
St.Thomas Raceway Park
Test and Tune 11am-4pm
My hope was to get into the 12's but I was only really expecting 13.3 at best so I'm decently happy being in between. Maybe next year.
Mods
17* Timing Advance
Knight_yyz BBMAF
Knight_yyz Block Off Plate
NWP Thermal Spacers
DE-K Injectors
Cattman Headers (Ceramic Coated)
Cattman 3" Catback
2.5" Test Pipe
ES Bushings All Around
DIY STS
Cosmo Underdrive Pulley
UTEC - Street Tuned
WOT Box (First time track use for shifting, didn't use launch control)
Tokico Illuminas (Stiffest setting)
Eibach Springs
Vibrant FSTB (Not in since headers)
Track Prep
1/4 Tank of Gas
I30t BBS Rims
Hoosier DR 225/50/15 Front (17psi when cold)
2nd Gear Burnouts
195/50/15 Rear (~38psi)
Spring Boosters in Rear
~240lbs of Weight Reduction (Will post items and their weights if need be)
Folded in Mirrors
Removed Weather Stripping Back of Engine Bay
I wanted to take off my PS belt, and tape up the rear bumper but ran out of time. Also forgot to install my NWP Torque link at the track so it just sat inside center console. Also should have played more with my tire pressure but I have a bad habbit of thinking I can do better so I just keep going round and round without changing anything. Both runs were hot lapped. I seem to get my best times that way.
Best Run
1.9930 60ft
8.5890 1/8 ET
85.37 1/8 MPH
13.1450 1/4 ET
108.44 1/4 MPH
2nd Best Run
1.9951 60ft
8.5888 1/8 ET
85.41 1/8 MPH
13.1579 1/4 ET
107.92 1/4 MPH
Video has lots of wind noise. The car I'm racing is my friends which he got a week before. My good friend and Maxima owner metalpiotr took the videos for me.

I also took the car to a scrap yard and got it weighed. It came in at 3200lbs with me in it. Thats with my 18's on and the headlight in. The 4x18's weigh 48lbs more than the I30t rims/tires, and I'm not sure how much the headlight weighs. So race weight was about 3150lbs.
Here are a few pics.
The shirt I got for free because I go to the track too often.

You could probably manage 29XX with a full round of weight reduction... Take my time of 12.6@108 with 280WHP at ~3350lbs without me in the car and you could potentially see bottom 12s NA with similar mods.

Ehh..I have not modded my car, and don't intend to, so taking stuff out of it other than the spare/jack is probably not going to happen. Hell, taking that stuff out last time might have let me run 13s, lol.

Wow man you really prepared for that race.I really don't think I could remove all that extra weight.Removing it is one thing but putting it all together after one day is another.I'm just starting and i'm doing all these bolt on mods so i'm patiently awaiting for next spring.Great run man

13.1 with some DRs and seat removals - we almost have the same mods. Man, I'm tempted to run...lol. Most 5.5's are pulling those times with aftermarket clutches and lightened flywheels too, well done.
What's DIY about the STS? I may be cutting and re-welding my stick in the near future

If you switch to CO's you'll save a solid 20 lbs. Also, you want to consider a SSIM...especially since you have the UTEC.
I like the fact that youre going by youre actually time ran and not your DA corrected time.
Good stuff.

I tried doing a STS... always resulted in missed shifts at the track for me. In any case, the normal DIY method is done by moving the pivot point of the shift rod on the transmission actuator. You can drill a hole through it and put a rod + pins through it (or thread it and use a bolt, if you're feeling lucky) and swap the cable over to that.

whoa just saw the pics (i must have viewed this on my phone before and had pics turned off)
all that weight reduction seems like a lot of **** to do to a nice car just to go to the track...

I did even more weight reduction. It's really not that hard to put everything back.

Taking everything out of the trunk and the seats are super easy. Taking off the door sills is a little trickier because you don't want to break anything. Putting everything back in is also easy.
4 bolts/connectors for the passenger seat, 4 bolts for the back seat back rests, and 2 pull tabs for the bench seat.
Worth it if you want to see some better times for free.

nice times.... maybe its just me or my expectations but in all honesty why does the times seem on the low sid with the mods listed???... i gotta say the 108MPH is pretty nice though... car is making some good power and has 12's in it if you ask me (with the weight reduction of coarse)
