New PB: 14.51@97.91
Well I went to the track last night with a handful of Maximas. I was determined to break into 14s so I pulled the passenger seat, rear seats, spare tire, jack and had a little under 1/4 tank of gas. I did leave some tools in the trunk just in case.
Mods:
-AEM Dryflow
-3" Blox Velocity Stack
-18" long 3" midpipe w/ 45° bend
-N62 MAF
-Pathfinder TB
-Stephenmax adapter plates
-00vi portmatched to PF TB
-VIAS block off plate
-Altima SE-R eBay headers
-Custom 3" Y pipe; somewhat equal length
-Custom 3" Test pipe
-Cattman 3" Catback
-eManage Ultimate
My two best runs were 14.6@96.3 and 14.5@97.9
DA was about 1700 on my 14.5 pass.
The 14.6 pass was at stock rev limit 6500, tune was a little less than optimal. I came really close to getting a perfect light.
The 14.5 pass had a little better tune, and rev limit extended to 7200. I shifted a little early on this pass since it was my first time above 6500 in months and I don't remember where the tach correlates to the actual rpms in that range. My guess is that I shifted around 7000. After I let off on this run my idler pulley flew off. You can hear it hit my car at 0:31

Its not the best, but I'm happy that I finally cracked 14s. Still have a ways to go but I feel like I'm making good progress.
I also forgot to mention my mods. Changes from my last passes in March are
-length tuned 3" intake
-Z32 MAF
-portmatched PF TB
-vias delete
-smoother y pipe, still 3" though

Really? I've never heard of an 00vi's powerband dying down after 5k with a vias delete.
I'm gonna edit the OP with my modlist.
lol Yeah no kidding.

but don't go with what i say ... dyno your car and see the bands yourself ... should help you get a better time
but 7.2k :/ nahhh man lol

you are absolutely wrong a vi manifold is known for its top end. that manifold will make power all the way to redline. they need all the extra rpm they can get to show it potential

could've sworn i saw a dyno sheet of someone with a 00vi dieing after certain Rpm's .. just can't remember who
but meh idk much about cause i've never really worked on anything but a 6thgen
i'd still dyno though
