^ He's trolling you.

He powershifted his auto.

I bet you're like what? How is this possible? Easy.

Unplug your battery for 15 mins to make sure the computers are completely reset.

Once you put the battery back on, start the car and then just put it in neutral, rev it up to 6500, hold it there and drop it into drive, it will program the tranny computer to do that on every shift like a power shift.

For manuals a simple powershift is way easier, just do it without the clutch, if you do it hard and fast enough it'll go right in without crunching.

The grinding just happens from you not being fast enough.

no lift shifting just wreaks havoc on the internals of stickshifts, not worth it at all. some cars like Cobalt SS have computer management for no lift shift that lets you keep the throttle down but when you press the clutch pedal the computer electronically disables throttle until you release the clutch pedal, thats better

Remove the clutch pedal altogether and power shift everywhere you go.

how hard no lift shifting is on transmission parts depends on a lot of things: clutch, engine torque, synchro condition, etc. in an underpowered car like most n/a maximas you don't really need to worry much imo.

Actually if you race like i used too it will only last about a year with you no lift shifting. Thats only if you use good gear oil lol and i was just making 220whp all motor.

i dunno, about a year ago there was a guy in the 5th gen section that said he didnt know why he kept going through transmissions constantly. turned out he was no lift shifting and didnt know it was bad for the trans

not true. i've no-lift shifted on every NA 1/4 mile pass i've made since 2002.

i'm sure you can find instances of transmissions that were already in poor shape being made worse by no lift shifting (with likely contributing factors of a clutch that is not releasing properly which would definitely increase damage done), just like i can find instances of people who no-lift shift with no observable ill effects since 2002 (i.e. me and every single NA run i've made since 2002 in which is more 1/4 mile passes in manual transmission maximas than probably any other person on this forum).

just to be clear, i'm talking about no lift shifting here, not power shifting. no lift shifting is using the clutch as normal but not letting off the gas when you press in the clutch. power shifting is not even using the clutch, just ramming it out of one gear and into the next. powershifting will do significant damage to your synchros, sleeves, hubs, engagement teeth on the gears in addition to the torque spike the actual gear teeth will see. power shifting is probably 20x worse for your trans than simply not lifting off the gas when you shift.

Fuu, lets not get started about all of your Drivetrain setups and issues.

Plus you're getting into it with the wrong person about this stuff....

Clearly there's something wrong w/ the 3.5, to only leave you by a whole half of second in the quarter mile.

Stock 6mt I assume ran the 14.4, or a lightly modded auto.

BTW, I can't understand your post, I only read like 3 words before my head starts hurting.

Allow me to translate using proper grammar. He is talking about racing my car at the track.

The two outer slips are our races. He is car 32.

Soo you rounded my 14.38 up to 14.4 and your 14.79 down to 14.7.
