Headlight problems....

My left side headlight (low beam) will not light or come on from time to time, and the headlight
warning indicator will light up on the dash board.
Sometimes when I flip from low to high beam and back it will come on, so its not that the bulb is
dead or anything.

Is there a relay or something in the headlight circuit ?

thanks....

i started having this problem when my xenon lights started burning my stock harness. the harness would come loose from the bulb (the left headlight), thus causing the right headlight to go into high beam. I'd usually have to stop and adjust the harness to tighten it back up. Since then, I've gotten a harness upgrade kit from suvlights.com for about 42 shipped, but u can get it cheapeer on ebay, i didn't ahve the patience to wait. so try to jiggle the harness and make sure its tight in there.

I know what hes talking about its like the lights have a mind of its own and comes on when it wants to so I have to flicker between high and low just to get it on. It seems it happens more in Cold weather than in the hot heat. So lately I havent had any probs with it. It does get annoying. I saw the harness upgrade at Advanced Auto Parts store where I live it was like 39.99. Didnt get it though. I havent had any probs. With the higher voltage xenon bulbs your harnesses will burn out. I just used to go to the junk yard and clip a bunch of them and rewire the wires. But that got too costly because the bulbs ends would burn out too, so I just put regular bulbs in my car. Check your wiring and for a short. Mine hasnt been fixed yet but my lights have been working fine so far.
