A fellow org member Sprintmax posts about 25 times a day, just wanna see how bad he actually is, I wanna see if he will search everything on the site till he finds this and post ****** on this too. Sorry for the nuisance, I figured no moderators so i'd see whats up.

For far I have put in Pioneer am/fm cassette head unit, 6-disc cd changer, Pioneer XM Radio, three amplifiers (600w, 400w, 150w) 1 12" subwoofer rated @ 1200w, 1 farad capacitor (something like that) Infinity door speakers 4 1/2" (had to make adapters so they'll fit right) 6" rear deck speakers (pretty good so far being Radio Shack woofers), and as soon as someone wrecks a 2000 and up Jetta, I am using the antenna, and cover up my power antenna (the third one I bought broke at the car wash, again)and install it just a few inches behind either the xm radio antenna or the roof just behind the back window. So, what is your ideas?

What Woofer you got and what Amplifiers?

The radioshack speakers dont seem to apeal to me in the high end quality. I am sure I can dig up some budget woofers that are louder

Thats my 2 cents.

The amplifers are Cantus (600w), Pioneer (150w), and American Pro (400w). The subwoofer is a Sony Xplod 1200w with an aluminum cone.
I failed to mention that I also have a Power Acoustic crossover to handle the tunes. You know, I mentioned all of this previously......
you gotta read back.

I had no choice man, I was on vacation when I accidently ran 400w (bridged) through my 200w MB Quarts, 6 1/2 inch componet door speakers! And where I was at, that was all there was! I wasn't going to drive back from Alabama to Washington State with no music! I was sounding pretty shi-tty then, but you know what? After revamping my speakers and trying out new rear deck speakers, they do a good job of filling in the mid-bass. I want to go Planet Audio for speakers all the way around the car (with the exception of the Explod Subwoofer), but the Inifinity speakers that I already have sound so good up front that I am undecided about which brands to get.

Ok

Ok loose the rear fill, get a good set of componets and power them. Give them around 100 watts each (rms none of this max or peak ****). This will sound really good, if you want info why to loose the back speakers (called rear fill) check this link out.

http://www.caraudioforum.com/vbb2/sh...threadid=99419

Here is something about best bass upfront something for you to think about, when you are bumping your Sony sub. (Never was a big fan of Sony, they have decent stuff but not top of the line)

http://www.therangerstation.com/yabb...BB.pl?board=TA;action=display;num=1028126502;start=0

Also for more information visit my webpage and click on links, lots of information about midbass speakers, the contreversey of if 15" speakers sound crappier then 10" speakers etc.

Thats my 2 cents.

I like the setup that I have now. I know I will have to replace my rear deck speakers there are other things I am tring to do first (like working on engine performance on my car, learning how to hover my r/c helicopter before I cause more damage than I put on it already, etc.......). I may add an EQ (Pioneer, of course) soon to see if that produce better sound quality throughout the entire car.
