Advice needed on Rear rotor replacement on 88 Max
Advice needed on Rear rotor replacement on 88 Max
Anyone done this? I bought new inner and outer bearings to replace at same time I do the rear rotors and pads. Are the wheel studs integral with the rear disc? It looks that way in a few pics I have seen. Do the studs come out easily have none

Re: Advice needed on Rear rotor replacement on 88 Max
I may be too late with this reply - you may have done it already, but I just did my rear rotors (88 GXE). It was actually quite easy. One of my caliper pins was seized, and I had to take it to a mechanic to have the torque member heated to remove the pin, but other than that, the hardest thing was removing the dust caps. One piece of advice, when you pry out the seal that holds the bearings in, take note of which way the seal was in. After doing one side, I discovered (from looking at the side I hadn't done yet) that the plastic teflon side faces in when the rotor is mounted - this means that it faces you as you have the rotor on the floor, the bearings in and are hammering the seal into place.
