Locked rear door

I bought an 1986 Maxima.i bought it for a work car,but have fallen in love with it.it is the first Nissan I have ever owned.It had 180 thousand miles on it,and I have since put 5 more thousand on it.had no idea this car was such a great car.I have a problem with one of the back doors,the rear door on the driver side is locked.I can not get it open.The power locks work on the doors,but this one refuses to open for me.Can anybody tell me how to get this door open and unlocked.I have tried pulling up on the door lock but this doesn't seem to help.Any help would be dearly appreciated.Thank you.

Won't open from the inside or the outside? Please tell me you checked the child lock... please please please
