Bright light bulbs for 85
bright bulbs
The silverstar are a little brighter but not really worth the money. Try getting some xenon hyper white bulbs they put out a real clear light and are much brighter(silverstars work at 3200k the xenon ones work at 4000-4200k) just go to your local advance auto parts or pep boys they should have them.

Yeah, I am using hyper whites for my maxima, and they are bright! I really don't need my high beams sometimes. Now, if I could find some brighter bulbs for the parking lights........

Does anyone know if it's possible to convert our lights over to 9007 instead of 9004? The lights look almost the same, but the 9007 output more wattage normally. Is the polarity different? Does the retainer collar for the bulb fit over this bulb?
Since the wattage is higher, but not by much (55 vs. 45), would it require upgrading the harness, and wiring in relay?
This was just a thought. Some here have had good luck with standard wattage Xenon bulbs, and they're supposed to run cooler. So I was wondering if converting to a 9007 bulb, and running a Xenon 9007 would produce more light?
If I can find more information on this, I'd be willing to do it. Does anyone have a car that runs 9007 bulbs, to check the polarity?

I dunno, I went the PIAA route with my 86. Though I forked out a little bit of money, I found it worth it.
This is my set up:
PIAA Xtreme White 9004 Headlights
Polarg M-25 Parking Bulb
PIAA Super White Turn Signal and Cornering Assembly
PIAA 2100XT Xtreme White Fog Lights.
