I figured out that what I thought was a bad mafs was really a bad mafs that probably went bad because i had a jwt pop charger from an 89+ POORLY mounted to it. the problem was that it would hit my battery and often come loose.

after my car became undriveable, i went to a local pick a part that i knew had 2 max's and i had a buddy there too. I found a mafs in the trunk of one and he let me have it for helping him in the past. I bought a new cone filter with the proper adapter and now things are the way they should be!

Today I also replaced my alternator with a reman one. my volt meter was reading 18v+. during a "spike" while driving yesterday i blew both headlights (one filament melted partly through the glass), melted a headlight harness, blew all taillights, my driver window rolled all the way down then blew the p/w module and i think i now have a bad power lock relay(i hear it clickee but no lockee-unlockee), and i maybe even fried my el kamelion - it doesnt want to play cds. after replacing the alternator, my voltage is regular and now i have to repair the damage. i hope I dont have any more bad discoveries

oh yea i also replaced my pcv valve 2day it was a quick easy job and my old one looked pretty bad. well worth $2. im waiting on some wheels (shipped today) ill try learn how to post some pics when i get them!

 

Youch! thats a ***** man..on an off topic.. i almost bought an el-camelion (sp) for 120 bucks last week... had a broken button that I coulda fixed.. but I think it was hot... so im gonna steer clear of it. heh.. ill stick with my cheap sony.
