Tricky Hood

I suddenly started to have problems with my hood staying closed.
See, it pops up (not all the way) like if someone pulled the hood release. It does this out of no where, especially on hard bumps and more on the highway. I believe it has to do with the release cord or springs where it locks the hood. Ya'll know anything to fix this...

Peace.

I would check the latch mechanism for any signs of wear or rust. Also it could be that the latch is out of alignment, not letting it go down all the way. That is were I would start.
