finding an L-series

So after breaking that head bolt and trying everything i can think of besides blowing it out with a torch and drilling it out and installing a helicoil, i'm thinking it might be just a good excuse to upgrade to the L28E or L28ET. A turbo manual first gen wagon would be a pretty cool sleeper. (Not that I really have enough money to go for the turbo.) Does anyone have a good idea on where to find one of these engines? i'm in arizona and i haven't checked any salvage yards yet, but i've checked online without any luck.

Salvage yard is your best bet. If your going to go turbo, you might want to consider rebuilding it all together. Either way, your gonna have to do some hunting.

Yeah, I found an l28et, the turbo motor off of a 280zx for $400. This seems like a good deal so i'm going to check it out and try to get the ecu, head, manifolds and turbo, maf, and injectors. Anything else i should look for/consider first? Hopefully i can find someone with a truck to get there.

What's the mileage. Is is from a wrecked 280zx? Check it out, 400 seems like a pretty decent deal.
