where is the aux air valve at on a 1985 max

Where is the aav located on a 1985 max I keep having problems when I first start it up it wants to shut off and not run smooth but when it warms up its fine plz hlp

If you look at the engine while facing towards the rear of the car, it would be next to the EGR valve. The egr valve would be on the furthest right rear of the intake plenum. It is the round double cone like device next to the egr valve in the middle.

S
