Rattling noise during acceleration...

What causes this and what can be done about it?

It sounds like it's coming from the passenger side of the motor.

It only rattles when I get on the gas in the lower gears and/or when going up hill.

Try checking your timing, and using a higher octane fuel...

O change the station / brand of gas you buy...

Just a few minor suggestions...

Also check your pulleys and belts since that's where they're located.

Are there any heat shields in the area where the noise is coming from that may be loose? Is the car a 5spd? If so, could be coming from the clutch???
