Power seat belt diagnosis mode

Power seat belt diagnosis mode
Did anyone else know about this? I never did until one day I was flipping through the FSM and came across the procedure. Like the ECU, there is a control unit for the power seat belts, this one is located under the stereo. It too has its own diagnosis mode.
to begin diagnosis, all doors must be closed and both belts must be the whole way back ("on" the passenger). then you take the drivers side lap belt and press the tounge into the receiver 10 times really quickly (in and out 10 times in 5 seconds). the ding-dong seat belt chime goes off, and the seat belt reminder light flashes. it took me a few tries to get that.
I think after that you must open both doors until both seat belts move completely foreward, then close both doors so that they retract completely, then unbuckle and buckle both.
the seat belt reminder light blinks and the chime sounds different codes and sequences to indicate problems with any limit switches, sensors, etc.
I just thought it was pretty neat. something I never would have known about. I wonder what other secrets our cars have.
