Test Pipe

I just picked up a test pipe to ummm... check the converter...
yeah! that's it... to check it...

I got it off of Ebay.

My poor Max has been acting like something is choking it and
I've been smelling that tell-tale smell of rotten eggs.

My Max is having problems just keeping up with traffic, let
alone not being any kind of fun to drive.

I'll let ya'll know what happend after the ummm... test.

Thanks!
Scott

Definately a good tool to test with. My buddy iansw has one on his max right now. But unfortunately he says it makes his car sound like a$$. It sounds like a civic on a whole lot of steroids. With that, you'll probably feel a bit of difference. Let us know how it goes. Does your state require emissions testing/inspection?

No emissions tests here as of yet (Nebraska)!

Yeah, you might not like the sound it makes. I took off the catalytic converter on my old Chevy Cavalier. It got plugged up and if I didn't keep revving the engine the car would stall out. Anyway, the car did run better after I took it off, but it sounded horrible.

If you don't like the sound it makes, there is a company that makes hi-flow catalytic converters for our cars, so you might want to try that out.

Yeah, I think they are RT or something like that. You can actually get high flow cats believe it or not from Cattman Performance. Cattman really kicks ***. I hear they have some of the best performance exhuast parts for 4th gens. Trust me I know, half the NW guys that went with Warpspeed stuff had problems, but none with cattman. So give them a try.
