JDM 33 Laurel body

I'm not quite sure about specs and how close the bodies are alike but i've seen some really nice body kits for the c33 laurels and i was wondering if anyone knew how it would fit or if anyone has an idea of how hard it would be to fit it on to an 87 max...

Well, after looking at pics of it.....there would be no way you would be able to put that body on a U11 Maxima Chassis. The Laurel is a RWD car and the chassis layout is completely different. If you want a Laurel....you might as well import it instead and get the joy of having and RB motor.

I don't know which laurel you looked at but they look the exact same to me except for a little differences w/ the corner lights and the grille. the 33 laurel was made 85-89. this is the car i was looking at

That's the sameone I looked at. That is a totally different chassis and drivetrain layout. Trust me, it won't work. Besides the identical JDM car like ours is the U11 Bluebird. On top of that, the Laurel has more curves than our car does. If you did such a conversion.....you'll probably be spending the same money it would cost to import one here if not more.

I know there are a lot of things that are different including the drivetrain but i was thinking more along the lines of trying to fit the bumpers and sideskirts. thats not too much to ask for is it?

I think Sarin's right, it doesn't look like it would fit our cars. Anyway, they do make body kits for our cars, check out http://www.kaminari.com they have some sweet kits though they are a bit pricey. Avalon42 got it on his car and it looked awesome, you can check out his pics at the Yahoo club (link in my sig) in the Photos section under Ghost One.

Damn, that Laurel is one sweet ride though, I can see why you'd want your Max to look like that. That car is much better looking than our 2nd gens, plus it's RWD no less.

Dude, don't get fricken snotty with me. You asked if it will work, and I told you no. Your looking at a car with totally different dimensions. If you want to get a body kit for a laurel and try to fit it....be my guest...just don't come here crying when you find out it won't fit.

Also if you don't like my answer, tough. You ask how it would fit, and I told you straight up, it won't. So don't be a ****ing ******* that thinks he knows better, because if you did....you wouldn't be asking the question in the first place.

No worries, sorry for snapping at you like that. It's too bad it wouldn't work, the laurel groundeffect kit is really nice. Definately give the link Charles gave you a look. The kamanari kit are pretty nice.
