timing belt question ???????

I took off my timing belt cover and noticed that my cam marks are pointing at the rear cover marks and my rotor is pointing at the no1 spark plug, But my crank is pointing at the 10 degree mark! Does that mean my crank is ahead by two timingmark teeth?????????And needs to be turned back 2 teethmarks?????

I noticed that each cam is turned away about 1.5 teeth (in opposite directions) than where the crank is positioned..as far as I know that's normal so take that into consideration when doing your timing

unless my car is just messed up lol

The timing marks for the crank is on the gear and the oil pump cover. You'll need to remove the balancer and lower timing belt cover to see it. I'm not sure if the marks on the balancer necessarily coincide.

The Haynes Manual will be a nice reference for this question...
