What Kind of gas mileage Can I expect from my maxima? Are there any problems that I should be aware of .
What type of oil is recommended.
What type of spark plugs should I use?
Is it possible to turbocharge this car?
And are there any ways to squeeze a few more Hp out of it?

Mileage: 18-29mpg depending on city or highway
Problems: Check to see if injector recall was performed, exhuast system's been known to go bad, seats don't like coca cola much. :P
Type of oil: 10w30
Spark Plug: NGK, V-Resistor
Turbo: Ummmm do a search....you might find something....in fact....just look on the main thread page....you might just find something.
HP: Sure there are...am I gonna tell you them...no...I already gave you oil and plugs! Do a search and look in the FAQ.

Fuel injection sys. 2months old hence recall
exhaust is brand new.
and I am a master welder / fabricator
I can normally retro a turbo onto anything
I need to clearify myself. will the engine withstand the strain of a turbo?
I'm just trying to get some I deas for what I will be able to do to this car.
my last project was a mazda b2000. I lowered it and dropped in a toyota 5m-ge. BUt It's different with the maxima. I have wanted one for as long as I can remember. I know it won't be the same as my fairlady Z was. But I just want to derive all of the potential from it.

Since the VG series engines are running 9/1 compression ratios, you can boost the engine, but only with VERY low boost, an intercooler, and all the other goodies, plus premium, high-octane gas...and if you're in an area like me, where the highest octane you can get is 89 - 90 depending upon the station, you may have to settle for AV gas or race gas. As many have found out, if you're not going to be tearing the block down, etc..., it's easier, and better to swap in a VG30ET, from a turbo'd Z31. If you are going to tear the block apart, you would want to replace the pistons, at a minimum, with the lower compression, dished pistons from the VG30ET.

Of course, you'd get the most benefit from also running a Z31 turbo ECU.
