adjustable suspension

ok I have a 87 SE, and it has the suspension adjustment right under the E-brake (S,N,F) which ever one I put it on, it will stay lit while the other two letter will blink...what does this mean? I am guessing it does not work

Yes, it means there is a fault detected

A lot of people have the adjustment thing disconnected if they put in aftermarket struts instead of the OEM electronic ones, which were obscenely expensive.

It's means the system is malfunctioning, or some or all the struts have been converted. How does the car ride/handle? It's most likely it was converted.
