gas smell

within the last month i noticed a faint gas smell while driving and thought maby it was a bad when i bought it. within the last week however it has became much worse. i checked th fittings on the feed and return line to the gas tank, nothing is leaking. i did however see a slight dampness forming around the top of one of the injectors. any suggestions on what i can do? i would prefer not to buy a new injector.
totally woot --> <-- describes me to a T

hmmm you might want get your VIN number and run down to the local Nissan Dealer to see if they did the fuel injector recall. Does this dampness smell like gas?

What you described is the beginning of an injector leak. You can take them to different places that rebuild injectors. Do this before they get to bad or they may not be rebuildable. I usually just buy new injectors and replace them myself.
