Umm if you didnt get the injector recall done on your car youd better. Its potential that your car could catch on fire. Check with your local dealer and give them your vin number. They should be able to trace if your car has had the injector recall done.

Hmm kinda weird never heard that one before. Did you try another dealer around to see if this is a fluke or for real. I didnt think there were particular vin numbers it was for all 2nd gens. So I thought.

i called a nissan dealer and gave them my vin number. the guy over the phone took like 5 minutes and he said it looks like there is an opening on an injector recall. i asked if it costs anything and he said no its a safety recall so nissan covers the bill. he asked for my name and number and said he will call me in about 1 week when the injectors arive so i can bring the car up. i know this isnt going to help but the number is 717-569-1333 thats lancaster nissan it's just our local dealer.

im taking the car up tuesday for the service to be done. the problem i have been having with the cold starts hasn't gone away yet. and it gets worse the colder it gets. tuesday night is supposed to get down to 11 deg F. whoever goes to start it wednesday morning is going to get to see first hand what it is doing. maby they can finally give me some suggestions on things to check
hell who knows maby i'll get lucky and the injectors will be the problem....oh by the way i forgot to mention just yesterday the seeping injector began leaking and dripping all together. hope i make it to the garage in one piece. eh its only 45 miles

well my car is still at the garage..... it was supposed to be done yesterday but they said they thought one of the new injector wiring harnesses was faulty. they ordered another one and tried it today. they then called a little earlier and said the harness was fine all along.... but the car is still only running on 5 cylanders. they said they need to keep it yet another day and pull the new injector to see if it is any good. i didnt tell them this but i think that may be what is causing my hard starts when it is cold outside. it does make sense only running on 5 then suddenly it picks up and runs smooth like nothing is wrong when it warms up. They are probably pulling it in the garage hitting the key and seeing it miss then turning it right back off. maby i'll get lucky and they will end up fixing whatever was casuing all of my problems on cold days.

They replaced all 6 injectorsm, wire harnasses, and fuel rails. It runs like a dream. i wont know how it will start cold untill tomorrow morning but for now it sounds great

i called my dealer today, they said i have to call nissan directly at 1800-Nissan-1 cuz the car is so old. So that'll have to wait til monday. hopefully, the repair wasn't done. i can't imagine the difference new injectors would make

well it was worth the try. the nissan rep told me that my car either wasn't affected by the recall or that it was already fixed.
