1987 Gen 2, 6 cyl

The high beams quit working must be a few years ago now. I put new bulbs in them, but that didnt fix it. In the fusebox all i see is right lamp and left lamp, not specific to high beams...

When i put the brights on, all i am left with is parking lights. I don't get a dummy light or anything...

What should I check?

 

Sounds like either your combo switch has gone bad, or you got a bad relay. The switch isn't cheap, but maxwgn knows about this one. I'd also check all your relays to see if you got one that's not working.

either fuses, or the headlight switch...those would be the one's i'd check first...

 

Ok, I will give it a go this weekend, I'll post results back here, in the meanwhile, if anyone else has any specifics of where the relays/fuses are I should check, I'd really appreciate it. I have a FSM, but it is destroyed, its 500 totally mixed up pages now and NOT fun to try to go through
