just wondering........

how much of a pain is the water pump to replace. is it do-able without removing any of the timing belt parts like covers. im not sure how much longer mine is going to last. it squeeks like a bad bearing when its cold and when its warm it sounds like food processor making all sorts of grinding sounds.

yikes sounds bad, well, I think that you will have to remove the timing belt covers to get to the water pump, that's why they include it with a timing belt kit. Speaking of which, you might as well replace thoose belts while your in there. Oh and it's a PITA, but it's gotta get done.

You do need to remove the timing covers to get to it....that's why it's recommended you do a water pump while you do a belt, because everything is torn off the front of the motor to get it.
