Shifter/brand name question

Has anyone ever switched out a automatic shift **** with the overdrive switch and used a shift **** that didnt have the overdrive, relocating the overdrive switch someplace else? If so can you let me know how easy or not it was. I want to replace my shift **** but the one that will match does not have the overdrive button. So I'm thinkin its just a switch so I could just put it somewhere else. Is this a good idea to do? Also on ebay they are selling Pyramid/Legacy car monitors cheap. Is anyone familiar with these brands and if so could you tell me of the quality? If they are crap could you recommend a good brand name to use. Thanks

I don't know about the shift ****, but I can give some insight on the monitor. I have a 7.2" Pyramid and also a 7" MobileAuthority. I am running a full blown pc in the trunk, and I bought the Pyramid because it was cheap. I wasn't impressed. The problem with the inexpensive screens is that they use STN technology which is pretty outdated. They have poor color, poor resolution, terrible viewing angle, etc. I then switched to the MobileAuthority which uses TFT technology. With large fonts enabled in windows it's perfectly readable, and has very crisp color.

Here's a link to my install: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=272830

I know a guy that goes by the name of fubu on the offician second gen maxima club on yahoo who did this on his automatic. He changed the shifter for another one, and routed his overdrive switch to somewhere in the dash. I think in the fog lights switch. He says it works better for him this way.
