y-pipe...gutted?

Has any one ever gutted there y-pipe? If so can you give me some advice on how to do it other than getting it off and knocking something thru there. Did you use any techniques that could be helpful. Thanks.

Ummm...be hard to gut a y-pipe when you don't have one. One 2nd gens, the rear bank uses a crossover pipe to join up with the front manifold. There is no noise cancellation or bottleneck in a 2nd gen set up. We don't even have precats either. So really you can't do much of anything with this on our cars. :P
