Bottom line, you need 2 of all 3 of those parts.

Er, you do need all three parts. I meant 2 each of the all 3!

Lemme know if I can make this any more confusing!

Yeah, and be careful you use the right blinker fluid. If you don't, your flux capacitor could go haywire. And we all know that if your flux capacitor goes, well there will be no flux for the motor, and that's very bad.

ok, I just called my nissan dealer and he gave me the price of $138 with tax on all of this stuff. All 3 parts, 2 of each...for the people who have done this is this a good price? I would like to hear from the people who used new parts rather than used. Thanks.

Really? That much. Wow. I think you can get the strut mounts for like 20 a piece, the thrust seats for like 5 a piece, the little spacer I'm not sure....that seems a tad steep to me.

really, where can you get them for that price? Because I have a friend at my local Nissan dealership and he gets me parts at his discount. I can get the two less expensive items for the prices you mentioned, but for the strut mounts I am being quoted at 58.83 a piece. I looked around online and I really cant beat this price when you include shipping....if you know where I can get the mounts cheaper please let me know. Thanks.

one last question before I try doing all corners this weekend....I got the KYB (rear) inserts that I posted about above...my question is when installing these are you going to need any extra parts or do they slide right in? I have been reading conflicting material about this. Thanks.

just make sure you have the "gland nut" that screws into the top of the strut housing, to hold the cartridge in...that, the new strut, and the nut on top of the strut shaft, should all be in the box...and that's all you'll need minus the boot, mount, etc..., that is sold seperately.

Also beware, the gland nut is really tight. you will need a vise and a pipe wrench. When you do get the gland nut loose, a bunch of strut oil will come out. Make sure you have something to catch it.

Hey Im needing new struts right now, and was about to post here to get advice, but it seems the KYB's are the way to go.

I see all the part numbers, and the reviews seem positive, but what kind of ride do you end up with, whats the ride quality like?

Well, my ride quality is firm. The car doesn't bounce at all and handle great! Though keep in mind, I have a lowering springs as well, which firms the ride even more.

Finally

I fianlly got all four struts replaced, and the ride is so much better....all four struts were compleatly shot!! and now i have a non adjustable suspension (where do you unhook the plug that will make the S-N-F stop blinking?...I know its in the trunk but where?). I am getting a poping noise when making sharp turns in the passenger side front strut...any ideas? I am hoping the front settles a little bit because as or right now, it is pretty high, and its a little higher than the back. If anyone has any questions on the install I can probably be pretty helpful since I just did it myself. I ended up putting Tokicos in the front and KYB's in the back. I spent $120 on all the struts, and $150 on the nissan parts to convert to non adjustable...so when all said and done I think I got away alright I'll post pics soon.

The control unit should be the passenger side one in the trunk of the two. Just pull the harness to it and your set.
