Putting Maxine back on the road

Its gonna be an expensive project for my small time budget but my mother in law needs a car. This is Maxime in february, I take her out the Garage once in a while to let the engine idle. Im about to give her a tune up and Lift her back up. I couldnt pass emissions thats why theres no tag. It looks better on pictures Hopefully Ill get it right his time. Blu is in the background

ahh yes... the resurrection of a good car. great decision, I must say. last year my maxima sat for about 2 months cos it needed a clutch and funds didn't allow for it until my tax return. I thought I was gonna lose her. then I got that tax return check, called around for prices, and before I knew it, I watched her being taken away on a rollback to the transmission shop so that the max and I could start a new life. it kinda brought a tear to my eye. I wish I still had her...

anyway... it's good to hear that you're gettin her back on the road.

Werd, another 2nd gen back on the road. What springs you running? Interesting how an SE has a GL grill and trim up front. Either way good luck with the restore. BTW, is Blu a Legend? Those are nice cars.

good lookin' max....you have the bumper that I have posted about before...is that a stock 86 SE bumper? I found one in a junk yard and I was wondering about it because the airdam is actually part of the bumper rather than just a black piece stuck on the bottom

I bought it from this dude back in 94 with flood damage. This car had been through all types of stuff. He recked it, messed the whole front end up, Was drowned up to the sunroof, got stuck in Georgia red clay and broke a timing belt then bent valves.

Cost me free,

Had the timing belt replaced with new valves and all the stuff in there that was mest up. Cost me 2500.00 I was like Dang. I just bought the car.

The grill wasnt from this model, I took it off another because I liked the look. {foolish huh?}

I had it lowered in 97' with Intrax and KYB struts. It may not look that low but I cant stick my foot under the front end I have to lift from the back just to get a jack under the front to change the tires.

The only problem with the suspension Im having now is the tires or to big. I started with 205/40-16 but after the car broke down I put the rims on my Acura and put larger size tires on the rims click--->205/50-16 , Then I finally got something different click--->for the Acura then put the old rims back on Maxine.

Im not fixing it for myself though, Im giving it to my mother inlaw so Im gonna be putting the factory springs back on her.

I got a question. If I have lowering struts and lowering springs on it now, when I take the springs off and put factory springs on, with the same struts, will that be a problem??

You should be able to reuse your struts. You said they are KYB's right? They should be fine.
