Realistic price for 1st gen

I am looking for some advice on what price to ask for an '83 maxima sedan. This car was literally bought new by a little old lady-- my 5' 70 yr old mom.
less than 100k miles, original beige paint, no performance mods, 2.4 gas, auto, pwr sunroof, etc. Has a couple of dings, center console and rear speakers gone.
Steering cylinder drips, slight off idle hesitation when cold. Not much besides routine maintenance ever required. Not a perfect car but a fine example of original 1st gen. I even have factory '83 Datsun service manual.

My suggestion is to check out Kelly Blue Book. Best way to find a quick price, but my guess is you probably won't get any more than 1k-1500 for it.

hey a 1st gen max would be awsome to have. All you have to do is drop the VG30ET in and bam sleeper!
None of the FWD stuff to worry about.
That would be sweet!

Why? I'd favor an inline 6 over a V6 anyday. The L24 is a pretty decent block...and if your really crazy, you could go for a RB motor.

If you want to get really crazy how about the VH45DE!!!!
That 450z TT was dope!!
If the 84max had a L24 than hey it could happen.

Think of it a V8 maxima!!!!!

Or How about a turbo-charged 2.4L inline-six from a 280Z?

Don't you mean 240z? The 280Z is a L28/L28E IIRC.
