Motor mounts

Hello, I'm new here. Just purchased a 87 maxima. The rear motor mount needs to be replaced, and I was wondering If you need to drop the engine to do that? Or can you just jack up the engine enough to replace it?

Yup, you need to jack up the motor. Just place a block of wood on the oil pan, and jack up enough to take the load off the mount. Then replace it.

Werd, just becareful no to knock the jack loose. 4-600lbs of motor coming down on you is not fun.
