Will a doubledin stereo fit in a 2nd gen?

I want to put a CLARION ADX5655z doubledin headunit in my car and was wondering if it would fit. I know the opening in the dash is large but sometimes a 2din stereo doesnt fit right.

What year Max? I know 85-86 only have single din, but I think some 87-88's might have double. Someone with an 87-88 can confirm this.

87-88s have 2 DINs, one on top for the factory tape deck and the bottom one for the factory equalizer. behind the trim piece there's a metal bracket that the deck screws into, and has standard DIN screw holes. it's a piece of cake.

^what he says....the most modifacitation you might have to do is bend the tabs that seperate the deck and the equalizer
